Who we are
Dawnward is made by ShadeTap, an independent game studio. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean ShadeTap.
What the game stores
Dawnward keeps a profile on your phone: your Valor, Hero Path upgrades, Journal entries, a checkpoint for a run in progress, and a random profile number created on your device that isn't linked to you. Your music, effects and haptics settings are saved too.
The game also keeps a gameplay log on your phone, such as which rooms you cleared and which blessings you picked. It isn't sent anywhere.
What we don't collect
Dawnward doesn't collect personal information, doesn't read device identifiers and doesn't track you.
It contains no advertising or crash-reporting tools. The Android app doesn't request internet access, so nothing it stores is sent to us or anyone else. The only permission it uses is vibration.
Purchases
The current version has no in-app purchases. Valor is earned by playing and can't be bought.
Children
Dawnward collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If you contact us
If you email us about Dawnward, we receive your email address and whatever you include, such as device details, screenshots or a screen recording. We use it only to answer you and fix the problem, we don't share it, and we delete it when you ask or once it's no longer needed.
Your choices
Uninstalling the game removes everything it stored on your phone, including the gameplay log.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes the current version of Dawnward. If a future version changes what the game collects, we'll update this page before that version is released and change the date at the top.
